You may be entitled to financial support if you're 16 and planning to go on to further education after school. An Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) could pay up to £30 a week straight into your bank account if you stay on in education at school or college after your GCSEs.

 

Aimhigher is a Government project created to encourage more people to go to higher education. It provides information to people considering higher education. Aimhigher also organises summer schools at universities and colleges, and mentoring schemes for students.

As well as the main website above, there is one specifically for Hampshire & the IOW, plus a site that is aimed more for 13-16 year olds.

 

Our future. It’s in our hands, is a new campaign led by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) in conjunction with the Government and the Sector Skills Development Agency. The campaign encourages employers and individuals to take control of their future by investing in new skills.
