Your Rights
Whether you’re at school, college or university, working or unemployed, you need to understand your rights and responsibilities so that you know how to stay within the law, and how the law can protect you.
Legal issues can be complicated, so you should always get proper advice. There are lots of websites where you can find information but also local organisations you can contact, on this & the other pages.
Your local Citizen’s Advice Bureau (CAB)
You can get online advice on the CAB’s website, pop in to your local centre, or give them a ring.

Your local Children & Families Service
You can contact the City Council office which deals with services for children and families on 023 8083 3336 or by email on children.first@southampton.gov.uk.

The Citizenship Foundation produces a great handy guide to the law in England & Wales called Young Citizen's Passport. You can usually find a copy of this in your Connexions Centre, school or college.
